A quick and simple recipe ready for you to take anywhere.
Standard Recipe:
16g coffee • 240g water • 200°F
Method:
Prepare Aeropress: Place a filter in the cap and lock into the aeropress. Set over a serving vessel or sturdy cup and rinse filter with hot water. Add weighed coffee and shake to level off.
0:00 - Bloom: Pour up to 75g and use the stir stick to mix, ensuring all the grounds are saturated.
0:45 - First Pour: Pour until you reach a total weight of 200g and stir.
0:50 - Insert Plunger & Create Vacuum: Barely insert the plunger and pull upwards to create a vacuum lock to prevent any coffee from dripping during bloom.
2:30 - Plunge: Slowly press the plunger down until you hear a hissing sound and stop.
3:00 - Add Remaining Water: Add the final 40g of water into your serving vessel or cup.
Tips:
Adjust your grind to taste. If your brew is tasting sour or thin, try grinding a bit finer to increase extraction. Likewise, if your brew is tasting muddy or bitter, grind coarser to decrease extraction.
