This role focuses on scaling distribution infrastructure while maintaining a relentless focus on cost-efficiency and operational excellence.
Overview
The primary function of the Warehousing and Logistics Manager is to oversee the daily
operations and administration of the Sunergos Warehouse and delivery routes. This oversight includes direct responsibility for ordering and stocking agreed-upon products, driving deliveries to their destinations, identifying cost-saving opportunities in sourcing, maintaining inventory levels, and managing facility needs. The manager ensures that the warehouse functions as a central hub that maximizes space and efficiency to support roastery, retail, and wholesale success.
Job Responsibilities
- Delivery: The bulk of the work for this position will be to deliver goods to Sunergos Shops and local Wholesale Customers. This will be done with support from warehouse employees.
- Operational Oversight: Manage all daily activities related to warehousing and deliveries.
- Sourcing & Cost Analysis: Continually seek the best pricing for the product lineup, leveraging bulk purchasing to maximize future savings and freeing department heads to focus on their core areas.
- Inventory Management: Calculate and maintain necessary stock levels for all items—including milk, alternative milk, cups, branded merchandise, and brewing supplies—ensuring they are available for all shop and wholesale orders.
- Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate the delivery of items to Sunergos shops and local wholesale customers. This involves implementing and assessing a streamlined delivery schedule to maximize vehicle usage and time efficiency.
- Financial Administration: Print and deliver invoices for all items delivered to each shop, ensuring pricing reflects industry averages to provide insight into warehouse-driven savings.
- Facilities & Maintenance: Maintain buildings and facilities in a timely manner and oversee the maintenance schedule for all delivery vehicles to ensure they remain in good working order.
- Future Space Development: Develop and maintain scalable solutions and participate in the planning and layout of warehouse facilities as the company expands.
- Future Systems Development: Assist in the creation of new systems for inventory, order processing, and other internal structures as the company expands.
- Communication: Communicate delays, shortages, or disruptions in both supply and delivery timelines to internal points of contact. Provide updates and resolution to these delays as information becomes available.
Accountability Structure
- Reporting Line: Directly led by and accountable to the Production Lead, who oversees all roastery and production work.
- Peer Relationships: Functions as a peer to the Cold Brew Production Manager and the Roastery Manager (Production Manager).
- Leadership: Directly leads employees tasked with warehousing and deliveries.
- Lead Team Interaction: Product selection and concept shaping are determined by the Lead Team, with whom the manager communicates regarding reordering and product lifecycles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Annual salary paid bi-weekly.
- Vacation: 5 vacation days per year, 1 personal day per quarter.

Additional Holiday Schedule:
- Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas day are official phone off vacation days (does not diminish paid vacation or personal days noted above).
- On-call holidays include New Year’s day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Friday, and Christmas Eve (if work is required on any of these “on call holidays” comp days may be taken).
- Insurance: 50% of the primary insured’s health care premiums paid by the company.
- Retirement: Simple IRA with a maximum 3% salary match.
- Perk: 8oz whole bean coffee a week.
Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to confidently and consistently lift 50+ pounds, as required for coordinating warehouse shipments and deliveries.
- Driving Record: An excellent driving record is required to oversee and facilitate delivery routes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in systems for tracking, invoicing, and reporting (transitioning from Google Sheets to more robust tracking systems).
