Searching out coffees that prove their potential in the cup and are sourced through responsible and sustainable partnerships is a constant pursuit.  Highlighting origin characteristics and their best development dominates our roasting philosophy.  Sourcing and roasting great coffee is a responsibility that we take seriously and gratefully.

More Info

Halo Bariti, one of the newest cooperatives in Ethiopia, started in 2012. The members used to belong to the larger Worka Cooperative, located in a different part of the Worka zone. This zone is extraordinarily remote and undeveloped, meaning that most of the farmers have more land under their control than they would farther north in Sidamo, Yirgacheffe, or Kochere. The Worka zone has some of the highest elevation in the entire country of Ethiopia. One of our favorite Ethiopians from the past several years came from the Worka cooperative, we are pumped about this delicious new coffee from a familiar region.
