Don Segundo Sacanambuy is originally from Putumayo, but came to Buesaco to avoid the violence that hit the region in the 1990’s. When he arrived, he started with just planting corn as people told him coffee wouldn’t grow at such a high elevation. This new lot comes from Segundo's farm, Finca La Pedregosa, which is about 2.5 acres in size with 4,000 trees in production. The coffee is harvested, de-pulped and dried on raised beds for 20 - 30 days.  We are happy with the resulting cup and are looking forward to sharing it with you!
