More Info

Monica Andrea Gomez is the producer of this amazing new Colombian coffee. She is part of the FUDAM Association.

FUDAM is an association of coffee producers all working towards the development of quality coffee that is friendly to the environment. FUDAM was formed in 1999. Initially, FUDAM focused on small projects to improve coffee producer's working conditions. As they have grown and accomplished this initial goal, they are now shifting their focus to environmentally friendly farms. To be part of this organization, producers must commit to the continuous improvement of processes and practices toward high quality coffee, environment preservation, and better conditions for their families. FUDAM plays a huge part in supporting the development of great quality coffee in Nariño!

Monica Gomez's farm, Guayacan, is located in La Chorrera, Narino. Her farm currently consists of 1.5 hectares where she cultivates about 5,000 trees! Gomez incorporates an 18 hour fermentation process followed by drying the beans on raised beds in order to produce the best results. She, along with other members of the FUDAM Association, provide high quality micro lots and continue to incorporate new and innovative ideas into their coffee processing in order to provide a unique and complex cup.
